Welcome to the handcrafted world of Classic Outdoor!
I’m Fred Spector—a woodworker and sculptor who’s been creating beautiful outdoor living spaces for over 30 years. For me, crafting heirloom-quality furniture isn’t just work—it’s something I truly love. I started Classic Outdoor because I wanted to offer more than just patio sets. My goal was to design pieces that feel like art and help people turn their backyards into cozy, peaceful escapes.
Every table, chair, bench, lamp, planter, and accessory in our collection starts as a sketch. From there, it comes to life in our local workshop. My team and I handpick each piece of teak, cedar, and eucalyptus specifically for your order. We spend days—sometimes weeks—sanding, shaping, and carving each item into a piece that’s made to last for generations. Even the metal and fabric details follow one simple rule: they’ve got to look great, feel good, and hold up over time.
Outside of the shop, I work closely with homeowners, hotel managers, and architects to turn plain patios and pool areas into standout spaces. We talk through everything—custom layouts, lighting, stonework, and one-of-a-kind designs that really fit the vibe of your home. I want your outdoor space to feel like a natural extension of the inside, not an afterthought.
Take a look around the site—check out the collections, the wood options, and what past clients have said. Then reach out to me directly. Whether you’ve got a Pinterest board full of ideas or just a dream for a custom fire pit grille, I’d love to hear it. Helping people enjoy the simple things through great design is what drives me, and I can’t wait to help bring your vision to life.
